Looking back on last year’s Warco Open Weekend

We’re not that long away from the next Warco Open Weekend, so now’s as good a time as any to look back at last year’s show.

The turnout was huge, and we had a large range of both new and second hand lathes, milling machines and tools at reduced prices. The full set of photos for the 2010 Warco Open Weekend can be found on the Warco Flickr here, where you can also see a full set of photos for previous years’ events.

This year’s Open Weekend will be on September 10th & 11th 2011, so feel free to join us. There’ll be the usual model engineering displays of steam powered items of all sizes, trains and impressive club displays – as well as our range of metalworking and woodworking tooling for sale.

Guildford Model Steam Rally & Exhibition Show

Another successful year for the annual Model Steam Rally & Exhibition where we exhibited this year. There were a wide range of models from from talented model engineers from across the country, with a particularly healthy turnout. Here are some photos of the day.

For more details on this event and more, see the Guildford Model Engineering Society (GMES) website for further details, and a full set of photos can be found on the Warco Flickr.

Warco at the London Model Engineering Exhibition

This weekend saw Warco at the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace in London.

It really is a superb venue. Set in Alexandra Park, the palace was built in 1873 as a public centre of recreation, education and entertainment and as North London’s counterpart to the Crystal Palace in South London.

Warco at Alexandra Palace London Model Engineering Exhibition

Coming up next on the show calendar is the London Model Engineering Exhibition.

The show runs from 22nd-24th January 2010, and is the south’s largest model engineering and and modelling exhibition.

Located at the Great Hall, Alexandra Palace (London, N22 7AY), the show is now in its 14th year and will feature over 1000 scale models from the age of steam to the present day.

Opening times are: 10.00am – 5.30pm Friday and Saturday / 10.00am – 4.00pm Sunday

We will be exhibiting most of our ever expanding range of lathes, milling machines, sheet metal machinery and bandsaws.  Together with the machine tool range there will be a huge selection of associated tooling including vices which are unique to us, rotary tables and all manner of workshop equipment.

As usual, there will be unique special offer prices for many items on our large stand, so be sure to pay us a visit. We will be located at Stand No: 102 – 109.

Warco at the Sandown Park Model Engineering Exhibition

Another year has passed and we wanted to wish all our customers and friends the very best for 2010.

Last month, we were the Model Engineering Exhibition at Sandown Park – a great venue and there was an excellent turnout.

Amongst the small tooling machinery we had for sale were our new range of digital scales.

Below are some of the machines we had on display.

We have a few more photos of the Sandown Park show on the Warco flickr.

If you couldn’t make it to this show, there’s the Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace to look forward to.

Warco at the Model Engineer Exhibition

This weekend we will be exhibiting at the Model Engineering Exhibition at Sandown Park Racecourse, in Esher Surrey.

We will have our full range of machine tools on display, and plenty of small tooling, including new digital scales which go up to 500mm.

This will also be our last show before the scheduled VAT increase on 1st January 2010, so good opportunity to pick up a deal.

More details of the exhibition are here at the official Model Engineering Show website. See you there!
